There is no hole for the old eject with a paper clip tip. At this point I don't know if I have a bad zip disk, or a bad drive, but I need to get the disk out of the drive. Any suggestions on how to do this? Do not attempt this unless the eject button is depressed, and do not tug on the disk if it offers any resistance at all.
If the eject button is not depressed or if the disk is stuck, don't try to remove the disk yourself. Take your computer to a qualified technician for repair. They additionally sent me a few Iomega mb zipdisks. But when I tried inserting an Iomega zipdisk into my Compaq zipdrive, it ejected it apparently not compatible.
As a result, an alarm went off in my head, because I thought that my [old] mb Fuji zipdisk wouldn't be compatible with the new drive either. So I tried inserting the Fuji zipdisk into the new Iomega zip drive, and it accepted it. But now there's a new problem. I can't get the disk out of there! Try rebooting and using the software eject click the drive in My Comp and make it eject. See if that does anything. While on the topic, zip drives only read zip disks, while zip's read both zip disks and zip disks.
