The first of these is the presence of USB 3. As was true with the Antec DF, this does not come without one minor annoyance: The cable from the front-panel port must run through the case, out of a hole in the rear panel which is usually intended for routing liquid-cooling piping, though there are two additional holes closer to the bottom , and then down to a USB 3.
This is a considerable inconvenience and uses up a potentially valuable USB 3. Our contact at motherboard manufacturer Asus says this is unavoidable until a standard for internal USB 3. The second difference is even more interesting. I'm not a fan of the style of those cases, but if they would've made the red deeper and darker it would've looked better.
Frick What are you talking about, I feel it's the opposite almost. Ha ha ha, our eyes must be drawn to different things then, LOL! Ugly, gaudy and obnoxious. Most of us like clean and elegant, like a Chip Foose designed car. Big difference from just boxy. Example below. Too pricey tho. Not plain, but simply clean and elegant. I would like the Lanboy Air more in all black. Or even white highlights. Not really liking the choices of yellow and blue on it.
Otherwise, it has the potential. The actually case design looks nice imo i also like the color :. Front usb 3. Cons: Usb 3. I had to buy a pcie usb 3. One of the stock fans does not light up red, no big deal, i replaced them all with apevia fans anyways.
The two cons are the only ones i have with the case and they will not deter a 5 egg review because these are user preference issues. Overall Review: I have read other reviews about the quick release hdd brackets snapping from being to flimsy.
I have found that while they are thin for space saving, if they hold a hard drive, there is no flimsy issue. For the person who broke his bays. I can only imagine the force they were applying to break these things. With the littlest of ease they slide right out, I imagine the person who broke them should probably not be handling delicate electronics and accessories. Pros: Beautiful look to the case is very solid the front part of the case comes off very easy and stays on great.
Comes with three fans 2 mm fans one of them have red LEDs in it and is very quite, the last fan is a mm red led fan is quite and pushes a lot of air. Comes with usb 3. Has removable dust shields one in the front and one in the bottom of the case looks kida flimsy. But all in all a beautifully case with a great AMD great to it. Cons: The back exast fan is only set up for exast it has no groves for a screw on one side so I had to change it out for another fan in another case I had. The harddrive caddies are kida flimsy and the tooless 5.
Oh and there is also a blue led for the power button I'm probable going to change it out for a red one. Pros: Good mounting Easy to access hot swap Solid thermal airflow design All-in-all a good price for a budget.
Cons: I'm knocking one egg off because this thing is so stinking loud. And you know why? Because the fans use a 4 pin power connection that plugs directly into your PSU, not the motherboard. This means you can't monitor or control fanspeed unless you try and get an adapter. That's a flaw in my book, since my last case a Raven 2 allowed me to control all fan speeds, even the giant 's on the bottom.
Pretty sure that was a lazy move on their part, since I've got two open pin slots on my motherboard for a USB 3. LOVE the holes for my liquid cooling system. Sold by: Newegg Shipped by Newegg.
