Repeatedly tap F8 as you boot? Safe Mode is reached by repeatedly tapping F8 as you boot up. First check this thread in case its a simple one and if not come back to this thread. That there is no information on a black screen like there is on a blue screen just adds to the difficulty. Often using a restore point nor startup repair will have any effect.
You can try a google to see suggested repairs some of which have worked however these cover a wide field of efforts. Here is a video of one fix. You can try System Restore from it. If you do not have the disks your system maker will sell them cheap.
Or try from Safe Mode if you can get there. You can try an In-Place Upgrade hopefully saves programs and data or a repair installation hopefully saves data and will have to reinstall programs. Be sure to do a good backup or three. This also requires the correct Vista disks especially for OEM versions.
You will need to know your Product Code. Here's what I've tried Tried System Restore. It said I had no restore points even though I know I had them before.
Anyone have any new ideas? This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. I have the same question I then hit the up arrow once and selected enter on the keyboard, the system rebooted; if I do the same thing after the reboot, but hit the up arrow twice, the system shuts down. Unfortunately, I had not enabled the function to allow me to boot into safe-mode. Still just a black screen and cursor. I blame myself for not creating a rescue boot disk Bottom line: Any suggestions to fix this problem?
Cursor Download And Information. Rate This Cursor. Animated Cursor Not Animating? Because this is an animated cursor, they do not load on any browser other than Internet Explorer. Because IE is the only browser that chooses to do so. However we have a tiny workaround that shows one single frame of the cursor to Chrome and Firefox users.
You however can still install as your computer mouse. Like forums, normal web page etc. Option 2 is for website owners who are allowed to edit their CSS style sheet.
