Thanks for your feedback. No offense, but I think everyone who is posting here - and there are a lot of us - about their Inbox rules not firing already knows how to create and manage rules.

I have been creating and using rules for years, and as an IT support person here at my own company including MS Exchange and Outlook administration , I am intimately familiar with the process. The simple fact is that for YtsejaMisMe and a lot of us, the rules are not functioning in the upgraded Outlook.

You may share this feedback for Outlook. Based on the level of response it's plain to me that this is some sort of bug or 3rd level configuration issue. That being said, I'll go ahead and fill out a feedback request with the details. Incidentally, I work for a Microsoft partner as a Sr. Systems Admin, and I've learned over the years the various ways of getting through to the company, so I'll try those too. Any content of an adult theme or inappropriate to a community web site. Any image, link, or discussion of nudity. Any behavior that is insulting, rude, vulgar, desecrating, or showing disrespect. Any behavior that appears to violate End user license agreements, including providing product keys or links to pirated software.

If I change the Hotmail account setting to not sort email into Newsletter or Social, Outlook appears to take the change but always reverts to placing email into Newsletter folder, a behavior I do not want even if the folder behaved properly. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Norm Stein. I have been able to check, then move a message from Newsletters to a folder, then read.
