Unfortunately they creak and moan with every little movement of your head and it totally wrecks them for serious use. Attempted to contact Pioneer tech support no less then 10 times by both email and phone and never heard anything from the company. This version has the exact same mechanical design for the headset as mine and they still creak, I do not recommend these head phones for a serious user.

To reiterate, the DIRCs' sound was indeed noise-free, so long as we stayed within range of the transmitter; we heard minor crackling sounds only when we started moving out of line of sight.
They even bested the sound we were getting from our Grado SR corded headphones in that the DIRCs were more open, with their sound less stuck inside your head. That's not to say you can't still get better sound from corded headphones, but performancewise, these Pioneers certainly rate near the top of the current crop of wireless surround headphones.
